The Valley of Houston continues its resurgence in the new Houston Scottish Rite Temple with thirty new members being added to the Valley membership. In a three day Reunion, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the candidates were given eleven degrees in the new electronic theater and received their Black Caps on Saturday evening. The Valley Reunion included a visit on Saturday by the SGIG of Texas, Ill. M. Douglas Adkins and numbers other Scottish Rite visitors to experience the growing capability of the very first electronic projection theater in the Rite. Our new Reunion Coordinators, Chuck Ivy and Michael Prejean did an exceptional jog of organizing the three day Reunion to maximize the impact of the lessons taught by the Scottish Rite degrees on our new members.
The new theater provides an experience unlike any other in the Rite. Lead by Chris Holder, head of our technology team, the sights and sounds of the Scottish Rite degrees are growing at each Reunion in impact and meaning. Our dining room, lead by Chef Cyrille, is now leading the way as well in outstanding meals from breakfast to dinner for out candidates and Reunion workers. The experience in a Houston Scottish Rite Reunion is like no other. Be there for our next Reunion in April, 2016.
