• The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas holds live Secretary’s System of Education Summits Thursday, August 1 and Tuesday, August 6, 2024 via Zoom. Designed to inform Secretaries of current need-to-know topics and gather feedback to better prepare for upcoming Schools of Instruction, participation in either will satisfy Vanguard attendance requirements for the year 24-25.

• Fort Worth Lodge 148 hosts the 2024 Texas MasoniCon Annual Event at the Fort Worth Masonic Temple Friday and Saturday, August 2-3, 2024. MW Robert G Davie, Past Grand Master of Oklahoma, will be the Keynote Speaker at the event.  Other speakers scheduled for the event include Brothers Adam Kendall, Erickson Ybarra, David Rogers, and Chuck Springer.  Registration and Check-In begin at 8 a.m. Friday.  Breakout Sessions are scheduled for 9, 10:05, and 10:05, and 11:05 a.m.   Following lunch there will be another Breakout Session at 2 p.m.  Panel Discussion begins at 3:05 p.m. to be followed by Keynote Address at 4:25. • Sampson Lodge 231 welcomes Brother Christian Moore, Past Master of the Texas Lodge of Research, as Guest Speaker Monday, August 5, 2024 who will speak on The Stafford-Townsend Feud of 7 – June – 1890 when celebrations around the Cornerstone Ceremony of the Colorado County Courthouse ended one of the state’s wealthiest Cattle Barons death in the street. • Jacques DeMolay Lodge 1390 will hold month’s Schools of Instruction on the third Thursday of each month, beginning Thursday, July 18, 2024. All MMs are encouraged to attend these functions at the Valley of Houston Scottish Rite, located at 2401 W Bellfort Ave, Houston 77054.  Dinner starts at 6 p.m.  School of Instruction follows at 7 p.m.
• Valley of Houston, Scottish Rite Knights of St. Andrew host an open invitation to fellow freemasons and guests to a Men’s Health Symposium with Vaccination Campaign Thursday, August 22, 2024 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. at the Valley, located at 2401 W Bellfort Ave, Houston 770554. Learn about men’s health and relevant conditions to watch for.  A panel of Physicians will speak about topics of general medicine, ophthalmology, urology, etc., from 7 until 8 p.m.  Available Immunizations (5 – 6:45 p.m.):  Covid, Flu, Shingles, RSV, Pneumonia.
• Committee On Education, Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas holds its second Officer Leadership Training in Lubbock at the Lubbock Scottish Rite Temple, located at 1101 70th St, Lubbock 79412 Friday and Saturday, August 23 - 24, 2024. Registration begins Friday at 4 p.m.  Dinner will be served at 4:30 p.m.  Activities end by 9:30 p.m.  Saturday:  Breakfast 7 a.m., Sessions start 7:45 a.m., Lunch 1 – 1:30 p.m., Certificate presentations 2 – 2:30 pm.  OLT 101 (Junior Warden), 201 (Senior Warden), and 301 (Worshipful Master, PM, MM seeking additional light), Friday and Saturday meals included in $250 Registration Fee.
• West University Lodge 1292 hosts a Blood Drive on Saturday, September 7, 2024 between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the lodge, located at 6125 Edloe St, Houston 77005. Schedule an appointment at 281-691-1208.  Refreshments provided to all donors.  Picture ID Required.
